2010 Blanc de Blancs

 

Our Methode Champenoise sparkling wine is made from 100% Pinot Blanc grapes and, on average, ages three years before being disgorged in small lots to guarantee a crisp, fresh wine. A repeat winner at the prestigious Los Angeles International Wine Competition and named as a top American Sparkling Wine by Wine Spectator, our Blanc de Blancs is perhaps one of our greatest achievements. This brut sparkler boasts a nose redolent of green apple and pear, accented by hints of citrus, honey, and yeast. The palate comes alive with delicate, refreshing, tiny bubbles, which creates opportunity for classic pairings with caviar, oysters, and smoked fish, or with rich desserts like chocolate mousse, crème brûlée, and Baked Alaska.

 

 

2011 Reserve Pinot Blanc

 

Our Signature Wine, presented in an Alsatian-style bottle, is produced from some of the oldest vines on the North Fork (circa 1982). The 2011 vintage is fermented entirely in stainless steel tanks to display the true varietal character featuring notes of lemongrass, lime zest, and rose petals. As the wine opens, notes of pear and honey begin to emerge. The palate remains crisp and vibrant with elegant balance. After a finish of star fruit and green apple, there is a touch of sea spray. Our 91-point rated Pinot Blanc displays versatility that pairs well with a wide array of cuisine.

2010 Reserve Chardonnay

 

A blend of both stainless steel tank and French oak barrel fermented fruit, this Chardonnay opens with aromas of pear and baked apple that develop into nutty characters. The barrel fermentation adds structure without masking the fruit, allowing creamy characteristics to come through with undertones of tropical fruit and a touch of vanilla on the finish.

 

 

2010 Reserve Pinot Blanc 10 Year Anniversary

 

Big, bold white wines of France’s Alsace region are world-renowned for complexity, richness, and sophistication. The 2010 vintage marked the 10-year anniversary of the introduction of Lieb estate wines. To mark the occasion, we created an “Alsatian-style” Pinot Blanc, which has a richer, rounder style. With 0.86% residual sugar, the wine opens with aromas of lychee and boysenberry, which are followed by flavors of pear and apple with a touch of honey on the finish.

 

 

2006 Reserve Merlot

 

Aged for 18 months in French oak barrels, our 2006 Merlot shows a deep garnet color with hints of purple. An enticing nose of mulberry, pine, and cocoa powder is followed by refined notes of sweet fruits. The palate is rich with plum, black cherry and cedar that comes through a smooth, supple mouth-feel, finished with soft, round tannins. While delicious to drink now, it should age well for many years.

 

 

 

 

 

2010 Reserve Cabernet Franc

 

With violets, raspberry, sweet tobacco and black pepper on the nose, this Cabernet Franc displays juicy blackberry and currant nuances, which carry the wine into its dry, peppery finish. This Cabernet Franc would pair excellently with red meats and firm, dry cheeses.

 

 

2007 Reserve Meritage

 

Our most exclusive wine is a blend of 70% Merlot, 13% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Malbec, 5% Syrah, and 3% Cabernet Franc. Only made from the best harvests, using low-yield farming techniques (one grape cluster per shoot), this wine is designed for maximum aging potential. Floral notes of lavender and violet permeate the nose, leading to a deeper bouquet of raspberry, plum, and subtle hints of mocha. The palate is layered with undertones of white pepper and eucalyptus. This is a big wine, displaying a concentration of lush fruit, hints of earth, and a smooth, complex finish.
