Aimée Lasseigne New

NYC Brand Ambassador, WSET Diploma Candidate

Theme Song: True Colors sung by Cyndi Lauper. I’ve been a huge fan of hers since I was a kid and the song taught me to be comfortable in my own skin and free from artifice.

Most Memorable Wine I’ve Ever Tried: Ten years ago I had my first taste of Madeira and I was lucky enough for that first taste to be a 1912 vintage.  I had never thought that it would be possible to consume a wine that was created before my grandparents were born.  I still “time travel” at every milestone (mostly these days that means passing WSET Diploma exams) and I was even gifted a bottle of Broadbent Madeira Colheita 1996 as a going away present from my former colleagues.

Favorite Thing in the World: Exploration…whether it is through travel, tasting, or studying a tome on 1,368 vine varieties.

The Most Random Job I’ve Ever Had: I’ve been working professionally since I was 11 so I have plenty from which to choose, but right now in my head it’s a toss-up between being the Easter Bunny in New Mexico, firing (& cleaning) cannons at Tecumseh! in Ohio, or being a trial practice witness on the stand for the National Criminal Defense College in Georgia.

What I Do For Lieb: I shine the spotlight on the greatness that is happening only 80 miles east of NYC.  See me if you’re curious and I’ll glow your way.
